Silvered Bronze French Empire style Bouillotte Lamp
A fine example of a French Empire bouillotte lamp made of silvered bronze. The circular base supports four decorative candle arms with nozzles; the main stem of the lamp holds the electrics as well as the moveable green tole shade which has four attached silvered bronze decorative eagles. There is a hallmark on the base showing a crown and another figure/letter (almost indecipherable), which tends to suggest an English maker, although the style is pure French Empire. Likely made in England in the early 20thC.
Dimensions: 25″H to top of Shade and 12″ Diameter Round Base. Height of Lamp to the finial is as high as 35″
