A period French Empire clock of a seated cupid holding a rose in gilt and patinated bronze. The clock showing a cupid sitting cross legged with one foot resting on a quiver, his left hand holding a rose. The stepped marble and patinated bronze base is decorated with a gilt frieze across the front; featuring the mask of Apollo, the base resting on four bun feet. The white enamel dial with Roman numerals is signed Ledure Bronzier a Paris under the numeral 12, and Hemon above the numeral 6. Original silk-string eight day movement.
