A classic early French Empire semainier in mahogany; each of the seven drawers ( intended to be used one for each day of the week), has ebony inlay around each of the gilded lion’s mask door pulls, and a fine gilded escutcheon around the key hole; the chest has it’s original ‘clover’ key, as well as it’s grey fossil marble top; the whole resting on front faux painted bronze lion’s paw feet.
