Pair of Neo-Classical 19 Century French Figural Bronze Lamps
$5,500.00
A pair of French late Restauration period lamp bases which were originally candelabra. Each candelabra features a patinated bronze standing figure (a young male or female), who each hold a bow and quiver in one hand. The other hand holds what appears to be the base of a cornucopia which originally likely supported a set of candle arms, (now topped with a gilded acorn). The figures stand on a gilded ball which in turn is supported by a shaft of gilded and patinated bronze terminating in a rectangular gilded bronze base. French circa 1850.
Dimensions: 22″H (56cm) to top of Bronze Figures; 32″ (82cm) to top of shade; 5.5″ (13cm) base
