A Pair of French Empire Style Patinated and Gilt Bronze Winged Victory Candelabra Lamps

A fine pair of late 19thC French Empire style candelabra now wired into lamps. The very well cast and patinated winged Victory stands on a gilded ball on a further circular mottled white marble base, the top and bottom with gilded trim. The Nike holds aloft six very decorative gilded candle arms and nozzles. The whole column sits on a black hexagonal marble base. For electrification purposes an additional brass base supports an outside brass tube connecting the wiring to the top socket; as a result there have been no physical modifications to the original candelabra, (wiring holes etc.) Made in France circa 1880.
