Pair of mid 19thC Aubusson Tapestry Entre Fenetres
A highly decorative pair of French Aubusson tapestries woven in the mid 19thC. These wall hangings were originally intended to hang between windows in a formal French salon, but today could be hung anywhere. Their design is of 18thC origin featuring baskets of fruit, garlands, cartouches, and even bull rushes. The colours are still very vivid. France circa 1850.
