Napoleon III Marquetry Drop Leaf Table

A beautifully inlaid and ebonized French table from the third quarter of the 19thC.  The table rests on four turned ebonized legs joined at the bottom with a cross stretcher.  The top is decorated in various exotic woods, ebony, burled walnut, kingwood; the central cartouche depicting various musical instruments is bordered with arabesques as are the two D-shaped drop leaves; the top and leaves are bordered in a gilt bronze. There is a single drawer to one side.
