A fine example of a late 18th century Empire marble and gilt bronze clock after Deverberie. The 5.75″dial signed Paris, sits on an open patinated bronze plinth adorned with a central gilt wreath; and flanked with vertical floral decorations, the dial surmounted with a basket of flowers flanked by trailing garlands. The bronze frame sitting on four large lion feet on a further green marble base having a large rectangular gilded frieze. A highly decorative gilded pendulum showing butterflies swings between the large open central gilded wreath.
