An unusual French gilt bronze candelabra, now wired as a lamp, combining Louis XVI and late Empire styles. An elegantly draped young lady sits beside her open jewellery box with three putti beside and leaning over her. Behind her rises an empire style column supporting three candle arms and a central electrified candle holder. The whole group presented on a large oval bronze base with a decorative Louis XVI style frieze across the front. France circa 1880.
