19 Century Grand Tour Bronze of Venus of Milo

A very fine bronze study of the famous Venus de Milo with rich dark brown patina and fine chiselling. The casting is unusual in that it does not pretend to hide the many imperfections on the original.
It is signed on the base with “Reduction Mechanique Collas, and for the foundry F.Barbidienne Fondeur. Also on the front is a round stamp which is indecipherable.
