An impressive pair of late 19thC Japanese Imari porcelaine vases decorated with colourful peacocks, other birds, flowers, chrysanthemums; manufactured for export to France where the finely chased gilt bronze bases and rims were added. The vases presently have painted tin liners for use as flower containers.
