Palatial Rococo Gilt Wood Cherub Torcheres


The pair of torcheres are comprised of a gilt wood cherub or putto figure holding aloft five gilt wood candle arms. The figures stand on faux marble painted wooden pedestals. The figures are identical in size but are slightly different in their orientation possibly suggesting that they may have been produced for specific locations in a palace or a church.
