French Empire style Gilt Bronze Column Lamp with an Eagle

A French empire style lamp likely made in the early 20thC. The polished brass column was originally the stem of a candelabra which was later embellished with an eagle standing on a fascia with his wings outstretched. The brass has been recently polished and the lamp rewired. French 20thC.
