A Restauration period French empire eagle clock in patinated and gilded bronze. The stepped square patinated bronze base is richly decorated in gilded bronze and the gilded snake bezel encases a silver dial with Roman numerals. Atop the base sits a large crouching eagle his talons holding a wreath. The original silk string movement rings the hours and halfs on a bell.
