English Regency Perfume Burners and Candlesticks
An unusual pair of patinated bronze perfume burners and/or candlesticks. The triform base sits on lions paw feet. Each corner of the base supports a stylized winged eagle with one foot on a ball. The eagles in turn support a round tapering ‘vase’ terminating in a pine cone finial. The top of the urn unscrews so that a small amount of potpurri or incense can be added if desired. The top/lid of the urn is decorated with anthemions between openings to allow any scent of perfume to escape. The top of the urn supports the decorated candle nozzle.
Dimensions: 9.25″H (24cm) x 5″W at the base (13cm)
