French Empire Gilt Bronze Clock witha Bust of Apollo Belvedere

A period Empire Apollo Belvedere mantle clock in gilt bronze, the rectangular plinth on a stepped base richly decorated with acanthus. The plinth itself houses the large white enamel dial signed “L. Bergmiller a Paris”; the original movement with Breguet hands and silk string suspension rings the hours and halves on a bell; the dial is framed with four sunburst rays; the top of the plinth is bordered with a bold egg and dart pattern. On top of the plinth is a well cast classical bust of the famous Apollo Belvedere.
