Bronze Bust of an African Mother Breastfeeding her Child signed Gardon

A beautifully cast Art Nouveau dark brown patinated bronze bust of a young African motheer tenderly holding and breastfeeding her baby. The bronze is signed Gardon, an unlisted sculptor but is reminiscent of a much more famous sculptor Auguste Rodin. The bronze bears a G.Fosse foundry mark. The bronze is set on a modern light green marble base.
