A happy and colourful painting of a smiling young woman holding a basket of flowers in an open fruit and flower market. People mill around her at other tented stalls picking and choosing their daily supplies. The background is busy and complimentary to the beautiful blue colour top she is wearing. The painting is signed Giocomo Pittoz but little is known of this Italian artist. Painted on panel in Italy in the 1930’s and framed in a cream colour carved wood frame.
