An 18thC Giltwood Georgian Console with a Siena Marble Top after W. Kent

A rare Georgian console table in the manner of William Kent, the carved frame is of pine which has been dutch gilded. The apron is fluted with rosettes above the four front and two back twist fluted legs; there were possibly carved swags between the tops of the front legs. The original Sienna marble top has been repaired and has recently been strengthened with a gyproc panel glued to the the underside.

In terms of provenance, the console was acquired from the estate of the giant Weyerhouser Lumber family of Washington state.
