An 18th Century Giltwood Georgian Console with a Siena Marble Top after W. Kent
A rare Georgian console table in the manner of William Kent, the carved frame is of painted pine which has been recently dutch gilded. The apron is fluted with rosettes above the four front and two back twist fluted legs; there were possibly carved swags between the tops of the front legs. The Sienna marble top has over the years suffered damage and repaired but has recently been strengthened by a gyroc panel glued to the the underside of the marble.,
In terms of Provenance, the console was reportedly acquired from the the estate of the giant Weyerhouser Lumber family of Washington state .
