A Pair Of Napoleon III Chinese Famille Rose and Gilt Bronze Vase Lamps

A fine and rare large scale Chinese porcelain and gilt bronze mounted vases converted into lamps. The vases are characterized by hand painted Famille Rose medallion design and richly embellished with finely chased and gilded bronze mounts including striking goats head handles The porcelain is painted with court scenes, tea ceremonies, medallions framing flowers, birds etc. The porcelain would date from the late 19th century China, then sent to France where the decorative gilt mounts would have been added as was in vogue at the time.
