19 Century Figurative Bronze candelabras Signed Pradier Turned into Lamps
A pair of French 19thC Neo-Classical style patinated figural bronze nine arm candelabra signed J. Pradier, now converted into lamps. Jean Jacques Pradier, (1792-1852), was a Swiss-born French sculptor best known for his work in the neoclassical style and these bronzes are emblematic of his style. Each candelabra features a classically draped standing maiden with her arms aloft holding the candelabra arms which are unusually angular in shape. They stand on a circular stepped dark green marble base. French circa 1840.
