A late 19 century writing desk in the French Louis XVI style. The mahogany table has a green tooled leather top bordered in gilt bronze trim above a single mahogany lined drawer with its original lock and key. There is further decorative brass inlay to the front and sides of the desk. The superstructure sits on four tapering fluted legs with gilded brass inserts to the flutes and gilt bronze sabots.
