19thC Louis XVI style Dessert Table/Console

The Louis XVI style dessert table is made of mahogany, very much in the style of Henri Riesener the preeeminent late 18thC cabinetmaker. The top section richly decorated with gilded bronze vitruvian scrolls and other decorative mounts, all of Dasson or Linke quality. The top middle section has a single drawer between concave sides, all below a conforming white/grey mottled marble top with gilded brass trim. The lower similarly shaped skirt/gallery is decorated in a radiating design of inlaid veneer, likely sycamore wood. The top and skirt are supported on four turned and tapered round legs all decorated with gilt bronze fillets. The table is pure Louis XVI inspiration, made in Paris, and would date from the second half of the 19thC, ie. 1880.
