Small Boulle Clock on Stand
A small scale Boulle mantle clock; the case in red tortoiseshell inlaid with brass and highly decorated with gilt bronze mounts. The clock has it’s original stand/base. The clock was likely made in Paris for export to Belgium; the dial is signed Charles Grullendieck a Bruxelles who could also be the retailer. The 8 day movement has a steel suspension system and rings the hours and halfs on a bell. France/Belgium circa 1860.
