Pair of mid 19C French Empire Candelabra/Lamps
A pair of French Empire candelabra/lamps of the finest quality patinated and gilt bronze, likely the work of the one of the preeminent Parisienne bronziers perhaps Galle or Thomire. The central patinated column decorated with leaves and flowers is topped with a gilded bronze cornucopia supporting six scrolling candle arms and a central arm which is now electrified. The arms have finely chased gilt bronze nozzles and bobesches. The base of the column is decorated in gilt bronze and rests on a stepped rectangular base decorated with applied gilded lyres and wreaths.
