A Pair of English Victorian Papier Mache Chairs

A pair of superb quality early Victorian side chairs in papier mache, having oval backs, the centre back splat richly decorated in water gilding, mother of pearl, immitation diamonds, emeralds, and rubies, almost certainly made by the firm Jennens and Bettridge. The seats in gros point tapestry showing leaves and various colourful flowers. England circa 1850.
