Mueble D’appui with a Central Head of Minerva
A very high quality Napoleon III period meuble d’appui’s (chest), of unusual design. The rosewood and ebonized case has an inset white marble top; the cabinet front and sides have applied carved and gilded wood decorative panels, most striking being the central large carved and gilded head of Minerva; there is a top drawer above a shelved interior venered in satinwood. France circa 1860.
