Louis XV Style Marquetry and Gilt Bronze Bombe Chest
A wonderful example of a French Louis XV bombe chest made in the mid to late 19thC; the oak carcass inlaid in kingwood and amaranth with chinoiserie scenes in inlaid wood to the front. The lavish rococo gilded bronze mounts actually form the door pulls to both front drawers. The chest has a shaped brocatelle marble top. France circa 1870.
