Late 19thC French Boullework Cabinet/Meuble d’apui
The style and shape of the cabinet was very popular in the Napoleon III era in France, ie. 1850-1880. The front of the cabinet opens to reveal two shelves; the door covered in all-over Boulle work with a central circular medallion framed with decorative gilded bronzes. The sides and bottom of the cabinet are ebonized and again decorated with gilded bronze mounts. There is a conforming white marble top. French circa 1880.
