“To the Victor” Bronze by Hans Keck
A classical bronze statue of a muscular Olympic Greek fighting athlete titled “To The Victor” . The athlete has raised a hand holding a sword by its blade with a winner’s laurel wreath around the hilt, and is holding his helmet in his other hand. The bronze is by Hans Keck who was known to be active between 1900 and 1922. The bronze wad produced in 1910 as referenced on Page 908 in Volume 4 of a four volume publication titled “Bronzes: Sculptors & Founders1800-1930” by Harold Berman and published by Schiffer, The bronze is signed H. Keck and has a foundry mark. Raised on a black marble pedestal base.
