This 1950’s German made Brass Musical bird cage automaton features two colourful feathered birds one perched on a brass stand the other on the ground with foliage atop a green velvet base The underside houses the fixed in place winding key and on /off lever. Upon winding of the key and with the lever on, the birds start wagging their tails, rotate their heads and start tweeting a merry bird song. The underside has a Germany stamp but no makers mark
