French Louis XVI Style Telescopic Dining Table
A classic example of a French Louis XVI style mahogany telescopic dining table. The table is stamped Guyot, a firm that was active in the middle of the 19thC in Paris. The table is of the finest mahogany, is a wide oval in shape; the top sits on four slender tapering legs with original brass castors. The table has five matching mahogany leaves which are of later manufacture. The table measures twelve feet in length as can be seen in one of the photos with the five leaves in place. French circa 1845.
