A Patinated Bronze Grand Tour Statue of a Seated Roman Senator or Philosopher

The bronze statue features a Greek or Roman philosoper sitting/leaning back on his klismos chair which has two winged griphons as front leg supports. He is fully draped in his toga, his right arm is relaxed and held over the back of his chair, his left hand rests on his knee and holds a rolled up scroll. There is a separately attached bronze decorative element on the base behind his chair. THe bronze is not signed. The whole sits on a conforming black and white marble base.
